A Class With Class!
Graduates proudly received their diplomas in commencement ceremonies on the SMIS soccer field in May. The guest speaker was the Honorable GloJean Todacheene, Tribal Council delegate from Shiprock.

The graduates’ hard work has paid off. The group included six Chief Manuelito Scholarship winners. Four seniors earned Gates Millennium Scholarships and four others were semi-finalists. One was a National Merit Scholar. The scholarship offers received by the group exceeded $3,000,000!

College-Bound
Of the thirty graduates, 27 have made definite post-secondary plans. College commitments include University of New Mexico, Mount Angel Seminary, Spartan Aeronautic Institute, Northern Arizona University, Dartmouth College, Yale University, University of Arizona, Macalester College, Mesa Community College, Whitman College, Arizona State University, and Notre Dame University.
