Results of the 2007 Cardinal Invitational
Saint Michael's Kevin Holgate and Ashlee Brown of Many Farms High School claimed individual champions in Saturday's Cardinal Invitation cross country meet. The men's race, which started in the early afternoon, was run on a dry course peppered with several mud puddles left from Friday's rains. By the time the girls' race started, looming thunderclouds had opened up, and the entire race was run in a driving rain.
Runners from Many Farms took four of the top ten spots, helping the Lobos to claim the team championship in the men's race. The Lady Cardinals took the second, third, and fourth positions and scored 31 total points to win the ladies' team championship.
