SOCCER

Congratulations to the soccer team on their 3-1 season-opening win over the visiting 3A East Blue Ridge Yellowjackets.

Scoring for the Cardinals was Joseph Weber - 2 goals and Ethan Lincoln - 1 goal. Currently 1-0 overall, the team opens conference play on Wednesday against Snowflake at home. Game time is 4:00 pm.

CROSS COUNTRY

The Cross Country Team opened their season at the Flagstaff High School Peaks Invitational. Competing in the Ascent Race, the Boys Team finished 15th as a team. Runners included:

Byron McLaughin 21st
Samuel Hardy 62nd
Wacey Francisco 96th
Carl Adams 101st
Michael Van Tso 103rd

The Girls' Team was led by Chasity Seaton in 39th place and Arika Perry in 64th place.

Girls wanting to run Cross Country can still join.

Cross Country will participate in the Window Rock Invitational on Friday, September 11 starting at 10:00 am

VOLLEYBALL

The Volleyball Team bounced back from a tough 3-2 lose on Tuesday to Gallup Catholic to knock off 2A Many Farms 3-0. Currently standing at 2 and 1; The JV increased their record to 2 and 1 also with a 2-0 victory over Many Farms and a 2-0 victory of Gallup Catholic as well.

The Team has their first home game on Tuesday, September 8 against the Navajo Pine Warriors with the Freshman game starting at 4:00 pm. The JV and Varsity Games will follow.
