Athletics

Saint Michael High School is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association and competes in the North Region of the state's 1A Conference. The Cardinals currently field teams in chess, cross country, soccer, and volleyball in the Fall. During the Winter months, St. Michael athletes compete in basketball and wrestling. Come Spring, the Cardinals can be seen playing baseball and softball and competing in track and field as well as golf.

Mr. Bill McLaughlin serves as the athletic director for Saint Michael High School.

Spring Sports Underway
Spring is in the air, and the Cardinal baseball, softball, and track teams have already started their seasons, and the golf team is busy practicing for their opening match.

The track & field team will compete in the Chinle Invitational on Saturday, March 29.

The baseball team travels to Rock Point on Saturday, March 22, for a doubleheader beginning at 1 PM. Baseball and softball return home on Tuesday, April 1, to host Rough Rock in doubleheaders at the Fort Defiance fields starting at 1 PM.

The Cardinal golfers will start their season with a match against Wilcox on Saturday, March 29 beginning at 10 AM.
